APPOINTMENTS:

Urgent Appointments:

     We try very hard to see you as soon as possible when you are sick or injured.  Usually we will see you within 24 hours, unless Dr. Spencer is out of the office.  Please call ahead for an appointment time if at all possible. 

Routine Appointments:

     We can generally see you within 3 to 5 days for a routine appointment.  However, there are times when Dr. Spencer may be out of the office, so we recommend calling at least a week ahead.

Canceling and Missed Appointments:

     If you will be unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.


PRESCRIPTION REFILLS:

     Our office uses electronic prescribing to send your prescriptions to the pharmacy.    Rarely, the pharmacy does not receive the prescription.   If your pharmacy does not have your medication order as you expected, please call us.

When you are running out of one of your regular medications, it probably means that it is time for a checkup.  Please call for an appointment.

     We will make every effort to refill all of your routine medicines when you are here, so that they will last till your next visit.  If you have trouble keeping track of your medications, just bring in all your bottles to your office visits for us to check.

          To refill any medication by phone, we will need the following information:

  • Name of the medication
  • Dose (usually mg)
  • How often you take it
  • How many you need (30, 60 90 days)


     Please call the office yourself, as we do not approve refills requested by the pharmacy.    

     Dr. Spencer does not treat chronic pain with narcotics.


PAYMENT FOR SERVICES:

     Unless other arrangements are made in advance, payment is expected at the time of service.  If your insurance pays for our care, we are happy to file that for you if we have a copy of your card.  If you have a copay or deductible for office visits, your insurance company usually requires that we collect it at the time of the service.

     If you have financial hardship, please do not hesitate to let us know so that we can help you.
